Trevor Zegras – 2 Games Played – 2 Goals, 5 Assists
Team USA forward Trevor Zegras found the back of the net for the first time this season when he scored in an 8-3 win against Muskegon on Saturday. He would also record three assists on the night before adding another goal with two apples the next night against Dubuque.
The seven points that Zegras recorded this weekend makeup the entirety of his season totals to this point. A commit to Boston University, Zegras is now second among Team USA U18 players in points. He also ranks first among players USHL players with 2.33 points-per-game after being held pointless in his first game this season.
Zegras scored 11 goals and 32 points in 31 games last season and looks well on his way to have another stellar performance this season.
Luke Johnson – 3 Games Played – 1 Goal, 5 Assists
Another week, another defender named Johnson winning USHL Defender of the week honors.
While Ryan Johnson may have taken home the honors a week ago, it was Luke who had bragging rights this week as he recorded at least one point in all three games that he played last week. He started out his strong week by recording an assist in a 3-0 shutout win against Des Moines on Tuesday before scoring a goal against Sioux Falls just two days later.
It wasn’t until the Sioux City Musketeers’ third game of the week on Saturday before Johnson really stood out, however, as he dished out four assists in a win against the Sioux Falls Stampede, effectively ending their five-game winning streak in the process.
Johnson is now up to two goals and 11 points on the season. That ranks him at the top of all USHL defenders in points and has him tied for ninth among all USHL players in general. Johnson joins teammates Martin Pospisil who won forward of the week honors in the USHL a week ago.

The University of Nebraska Omaha commit improved his record to 5-1-1 after the victory.
