The Muskegon Lumberjacks hold a 12-2-0 record in the Eastern Conference of the USHL and 24 pts. The Lumberjack’s success is due largely to the incredible coaching of Mike Hamilton and assistant coach Josh Nelson. Let’s not forget, however, the players that put the work in every game to get the win. Among those players is Alternate Captain, Matt Staudacher.

Matt Staudacher was voted alternate captain by his team this 2018-2019 season. A two-season veteran to the Lumberjacks, he joins Nolan Sullivan (C) and Colby Bukes (C) who are tasked with leading the Muskegon Lumberjacks on and off the ice. Wearing the “A” has been a privilege for Matt and one he is taking seriously.

In 54 games last season, Staudacher was only able to accumulate 3 points. This season Matt has played 12 games and has 2 goals and 5 assists for a total of 7 points so far. See what Matt has to say about his recent promotion and what that means to him.
