TJ Walsh – 3 Games Played – 4 Goals, 1 Assist
TJ Walsh has been named the USHL’s forward of the week. Scoring an impressive four goals and one assist in three games during the week, Walsh was a crucial part of the Des Moines Buccaneers gameplan and he produced accordingly.
In Tuesday’s 5-4 victory against Sioux Falls, Walsh scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime and added an assist. He would score another two goals Saturday against the Lincoln Stars in a 3-2 victory.
His impressive week would bring him to nine goals and 29 points in 25 games this season. Walsh leads the Buccaneers in points with 29 points and is tied for fourth place in the USHL among all players. His 20 assists are also good for third in the league.

Justin Lee – 2 Games Played –1 Goal, 2 Assists
Justin Lee has been named the USHL’s defender of the week. The Lincoln Stars’ blueliner scored a goal and added two assists in two contests last week, including an assist on the Stars’ game-winning goal Friday. He would also score a goal and add another assist Saturday night against the Buccaneers.
In 22 games this season, Lee has three goals and 12 points. He’s also scored in bunches as he’s up to three multi-point games on the season now. His 12 points also place him in a tie for the league in scoring among Stars’ defenders while putting him in fourth on the team overall.
Evan Fear – 1 Game Played – 1 Win, 0.92 GAA, .963 SV%
Evan Fear is the USHL’s goaltender of the week. In one game over the weekend, Fear showed what he could do with an impressive 26 saves on 27 shots (as well as two saves against three shooters in the shootout) in a Green Bay Gamblers’ victory against Cedar Rapids.
Fear is now up to a 7-6-2-0 record this season and has boosted his save percentage up to .904. That save percentage ranks him eighth in the USHL among all goaltenders. Fear is committed to play at Quinnipiac University and is trending in the right direction right now.
